A Seminar on Banking was held on October 13 at Hotel Le-
Meridien, Janpath, New Delhi
.
At the outset, CA Pankaj Tyagee, Chairman, NIRC ,
extended a warm welcome to the Guest Speakers and the
participants to the Seminar. The Chairman inaugurated the
Seminar by lighting the traditional lamp . During the course of
his welcome address he thanked the Guest Speakers for
accepting the request of the NIRC to spare their valuable time
inspite of their busy schedule. He then briefly touched upon the
various topics stated for deliberations.
The Seminar on divided into two technical sessions, the
deliberations of 1st technical session were taken in the morning
and the proceedings of the second technical session were taken
after lunch session. In the First technical session, Shri Aloke
Sengupta, General Manager, Industrial Development Bank of
India and Shri Tarun Bakshi, Assistant Vice-President, ABN
Amro Bank Limited were the key-note speakers. Shri Sengupta,
took the deliberations on the Term Lending and Working
Capital Finance and covered the various traditional and
modern tools of debts, like Term Loan, Fund and Non-funds
based Working Capital, Commercial Paper etc Shri Bakshi
coverd FENRB, External Commercial Borrowings and Buyers
Credit. He threw light on the present scenario of availability of
ECB, FCNR loans products. He also explained the structure of
Buyers Credit, how we can be useful of these facility. Both the
learned Speakers replied to the quereis raised by the
participants.
In the Second Technical session, Shri Yogesh Kapur, Senior
Vice- President, Enam Securities Pvt. Ltd.took the initative of
How to Plan IPO. He also explained the eligibility criteria and
procedural aspects of IPO. Shri Shantanu Pandey, Principal,
Jacob Ballas Capital India Private Ltd., Spoke on the Issues
related to Private Equity Investments in India.
The proceedings of the Seminar were conducted by CA
Baldev Kumar, Secretary, NIRC and the vote of thanks was
proposed by CA Rajiv Goel, Vice-Chairman NIRC. CA Tarun
Gupta, Seminar Co-ordinator introduced the speakers and
initiated the Seminar. |
