A meeting of the Conveners and Deputy Conveners of the Study
Circles of NIRC of the ICAI was held on March 17.
CA. Sudhir K. Agarwal, Chairman, NIRC of the ICAI, at the
outset welcomed the Conveners and Deputy Conveners of the CPE
Study Circles. In his welcome address, he mentioned that Team NIRC
has decided that the criteria of awards for the Best Study Circle in
case of big or small Study Circles will be revised and its
communication shall be sent to all the CPE Study Circles. He also
referred several issues and brought to the notice that the Study Circles
are the backbone of NIRC. CA. Mohan Mittal, Chairman, Study
Circle Co-ordination Committee of the NIRC of the ICAI, cocoordinated
the meeting and thanked them having kindly made it
possible to participate in the deliberations of the meeting.
Thereafter, the discussions took place and issues/ queries raised
by the Conveners and Deputy Conveners of the Study Circles. The
Chairman, NIRC called the suggestions from all the Conveners and
Deputy Conveners. All the Conveners & Deputy Conveners
suggested their views. The Conveners and Deputy Conveners placed
a suggestion that a privileged card may also be issued free of cost as it
has been issued to the past Chairmen of the NIRC for participation in
the Seminars etc.
CA. Atul Kumar Gupta, Treasurer, NIRC of the ICAI, informed
the meeting that Team NIRC has taken a positive and effective steps
for facilitating CPE Study Circles in conducting their seminars in a
bigger way. He stated that the Conveners and Deputy Conveners may
have a holistic view as they are serving the members at large. He also
mentioned that the participation fee may also be increased to
organize good quality of seminars/programmes. The fee Structure
may also be made uniform. We should invite competent faculty which
could improve the image of the profession.
The CA. Sudhir K. Agarwal, Chairman, NIRC of the ICAI, then
briefed the members present that Team NIRC is organizing a Holi-
Milan programme on March 20 and All India Central Statutory
Auditors Meeting jointly with Professional Development committee,
ICAI on March 24. He has also requested them to participate the
above programme in large numbers.
CA. Durga Das Agrawal, Vice-Chairman, NIRC of the ICAI and
CA. Atul Kumar Gupta, Treasurer, NIRC of the ICAI, also graced the
occasion. The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by CA.
Mohan Mittal, Chairman, Study Circle Co-ordination Committee of
