CA. Rajesh Sharma, a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI) with more than a Decade of standing, has been elected as the Supreme Torch bearer of Northern India Regional Council of ICAI as Chairman for the year 2011-12 on February 22, 2011 to shoulder the responsibility of more than 36,000 Members who are in either practice or holding eminent positions in various industries as well as in Government organizations, 176000 Students with 18 branches and 40 study circles spread over the Region.

Born in 1973 and having Graduated from Utkal university in Orissa in the year 1994. He Qualified as Chartered Accountant in the year 2000.

As Commerce Student, during his Student life at University he actively participated in various Student Union Activities. He was renowned Student Leader of Orissa’s Ravenshaw College, the biggest College of the State in which person like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose had done his Schooling. He had been leader of ABVP looking after activities of Orissa. While pursuing his Chartered Accountancy Course as Student he was elected as Vice Chairman of NICASA for the Period of 1996-98.

During his association with ICAI he was also elected to the Northern India Regional Council of ICAI during the year 2006. During his tenure in the Regional Council, he has been the Co opted Member of the Committee for Corporate & Allied Laws of the Institute in the year 2005-06 and participated in J. J. Irani Committee for Amendments in Companies Act. He has been nominated as NICASA Chairman for the year 2006-07. He has also served as Convener and Deputy Convener of various Study Groups of NIRC of ICAI.

At Present He is also the National Convener of Bhartiya Janta Party Chartered Accountants Cell which looks after the Taxation Policies and Economic Policies of the Party. He is also the Core Member of Economic Forum of the Party.

He is also member of Several Chambers of Commerce .He has also been actively involved in various Seminars and Conferences organised by such Chamber s of Commerce.

He is also Patron / Member of number of Social Clubs and Non Government Organisations (NGOs).

He has been contributing papers and delivering lectures on various maters of professional interest I the various programmes of NIRC and its branches & Study Circles and various others Institutions and bodies.

CA. Vishal Garg is a fellow member of the Institute. He has been elected for the NIRC of the ICAI for the first time. He was elected to Ludhiana Branch of NIRC of the ICAI for the period 2004 to 2007 & 2007 to 2010. He was treaserer of Ludhiana Branch during period 2005-2006 & 2006-2007, Secretary of Ludhiana Branch during 2007-2008 & Chairman 2008-2009.

CA. Sanjay Kumar Agrawal is commerce graduate from Delhi University and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has an additional degree of ICWAI in which he secured 14th rank (North India Topper) in Intermediate and 9th Rank in final Exam. He got gold medal for securing highest marks in North India level of Intermediate exam of ICWAI. He is also actively involved in advising a large number of clients on structuring of export transaction to optimize indirect tax incidence and optimizing costs by obtaining rebates/refunds. He advised holistic and business oriented solutions to service tax problem and implementation of such solutions.

CA. Gopal Kumar Kedia elected to NIRC for the first time. He is a fellow member of the ICAI & also a Cost Accountant. He is associated with various professional social/religious / sports organisations. He was treasurer of ECASA during (1985-87).

CA. Pramod Kumar Maheshwari qualified in the year 1986 and had the privilege to serve Faridabad Branch as Vice-Chair man during 2001-2002 and as Chairman during 2002-2003. He also got privilege to serve as Convener- Auditing Assurance Study Group of NIRC of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India during 2007-08 and 2008-09 and was awarded best convener during 2007-08 He associated with various social and charitable organizations. He delivered lectures on various topics of professional interest.

CA. Rajiv Goel, FCA, DISA, a Commerce Graduate from Kurkshetra University , Kurkshetra (Haryana) was born in Safidon Distt. (Jind), Haryana. A Fellow Member of Institute, CA. Rajiv Goel qualified in the year 1999. CA. Goel was elected to the Northern India Regional Council for the first time in the year 2007 and was unanimously elected as Vice-Chairman of the said Council in the first year itself, i.e., 2007-08. CA. Goel was Vice-President of Govt. College, Sofidon (Jind) Haryana during 1992-93. Currently, he is also associated with various professional/social/religious organizations.

CA. Deen Dayal Agrawal, a Commerce Graduate from Agra University was born in Firozabad (Uttar Pradesh). A Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, he qualified in the year 1994. CA. Agrawal, prior to his election for the first time in the year 2006 to the Northern India Regional Council of ICAI, was actively associated as a Convener of Pusa Road CPE Study Circle and has been also involved with various professional/ social/religious organizations. He has been nominated as the member of NICASA for the year 2007-08.

CA Durga Das Agrawal, FCA, New Delhi , aged 52 years has been elected as the Member of the Northern India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) for the 2010-2013 w.e.f. 11th January 2007. He is graduate in commerce and also a Law graduate from Agra University . Member of the ICAI with about 20 years of standing. Qualified CA in 1986. Also passed out DISA in 2004. He is Trustee and National Co-ordinator of Bhartiya Charitra Nirman Sansthan (NGO). He has been recently awarded PHD degree from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.

CA. Mohan Lal Mittal a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, qualified in the year 1987, and was elected to the Northern India Regional Council for the first time in 2007 and thereafter in 2010. He has held the position of Treasurer of the NIRC of the ICAI for the year 2009-10. He has also been nominated as a member of Northern India Chartered Accountants Students Association (NICASA) during the year 2008- 2009 and again for the year 2010-2011.He has Served as Convener of Central Delhi CPE Study Circle of NIRC of ICAI. Besides this, he is associated with other Social Organizations in different capacities.

CA. Hans Raj Chugh, a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and is also a fellow member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He is elected first time to the NIRC. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the year 1990 and as Company Secretary in the year 1995. He is member of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Besides this, he is also associated with various professional and social organizations.

CA. Rashmi Khetrapal (Ms.) has been elected to NIRC for the first time she is a fellow member of the Institute. She was the member of Gurgaon Branch of NIRC of the ICAI during 2004-2007 & 2007-2010. She was the secretary of Gurgaon Branch of NIRC of the ICAI during 2006-2007 & chairperson of Gurgaon Branch of the NIRC of the ICAI during 2009-10. She is associated with different social organisation in different capacities.

CA. Atul Kumar Gupta is a qualified Cost Accountant, Chartered Accountant, CIQA & PGDEMM. He is the member of All India Management Association, Delhi Management Association, Institute of Internal Auditors (Delhi ) He remained as a Member of Special Task Force (Service Tax) of ASSOCHAM. He is also an author of exclusive Ready Reckoner on Service Tax, Practical Guide on CENVAT Credit Rules 2004 comprehensive Guide on Service Tax & GST. He remained as a Chairman of NIRC of ICWAI (2005-06) and remained speaker on Service Tax on various forums of ICAI, ICWAI and other Corporate Programs.
