National Convention of CA Students 29th & 30th December, 2011
Venue : Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, Delhi.
The National Convention of CA Students – 2011 will be organized by the Board of Studies of the ICAI hosted by Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of the ICAI on the theme of “Custodian of Country’s Wealth : The Future Chartered Accountants” on 29th and 30th December, 2011 in the Auditorium of Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi (North Campus), Delhi. The technical sessions on various topics are as follows :
Technical Session I : Accounting & Auditing
  1. Accounting Standards Vs. Ind AS  Vs. IFRS
  2. Forensic Accounting
  3. Auditing Standards Compliance in the Present Scenario
Technical Session II :
Business Advisory
  1. Planning: Continuity of Business & Disaster Recovery
  2. Globalization of Capital Market
  3. Future of XBRL as Reporting Language
Technical Session III :
Taxation – Direct & International
  1. Contemporary issues in Business Taxation
  2. Changing Perspective of International Taxation under Direct Tax Code
  3. Goods & Services Tax in India – Way Forward
Technical Session IV :
Corporate
  1. Due Diligence
  2. Code of Ethics
  3. Corporate Social Responsibility
   
Students from all over India are invited to register for the above said Convention. The registration form for the above mentioned Convention has been hosted on the website of the NIRC of the ICAI (www.nirc-icai.org). Interested Students are also invited to submit their paper(s) of about 5-7 pages and/or a proposal to organize a Technical Session. The selected papers will be published in the Paper Book/Backgrounder together with photograph of the concerned student. No Participation fee will be charged from the Paper Presenters selected for the above said Convention. It has been decided to reimburse to and fro travel expenses (AC 2 tier) to students Paper Presenters from outside Delhi/New Delhi and DA @ Rs.1500/- per day for maximum of 5 days including the journey time.
The main goal to organize the said Students’ Convention is to provide a forum for exchange of ideas in a number of topics of professional interest and in accordance with syllabus of CA Course. The Convention will present the tools to a student needs to stay ahead, stay efficient and be prepared for the challenges posed by the changing economic environment. It will provide an opportunity to meet with students from all over the Country and share knowledge and experiences.
Registration Fee : Registration upto 15th December, 2011 : Rs. 300/-
Registration after 15th December, 2011 : Rs. 500/- by way of Cheque/DD in favour of `NIRC of the ICAI’ payable at New Delhi.

Accommodation:
Two Nights accommodation would be available for outstation students attending both days of the Convention ranging from Rs. 500/- to Rs. 2000/- per night including/excluding taxes.
